The BET Experience is once again taking over downtown Los Angeles from June 23 through the 26. Hip Hop royalty will be descending on Staples Center, LA Live and the LA Convention Center for a weekend of concerts, fan interactions and of course the 2016 BET Awards.
BET Weekend is a staple of the West Coast Hip Hop scene. Every year it brings together the biggest names for marquee concerts. What’s really special about the weekend, however is the Fan Fest (http://www.bet.com/bet-experience/2016/fan-fest.html). Free to fans, the fan fest offers a celebrity basketball game, genius talks and performances from some of the game’s hottest newcomers.
If you want to splash some cash, you can have a star studded experience. If, like us, you want the game to stay out of your damn pockets, not to worry you can have good fun on the low too. Last year for example, free entry to the fan fest got you a live talk from Kobe Bryant and a free show from Fetty Wap. Yeah. Don’t sleep on this LA.
This year Desiigner will give a free show, along with with Baton Rouge’s Kevin Gates and NYC’s own Fat Joe with Remy Ma.
